Service

The “Bildung trifft Entwicklung“ (BtE) program works with the concept of Global Learning. For this purpose, seminars for qualification are offered and didactic materials are created which can be ordered or borrowed.

The concept of Global Learning

Global Learning is an educational concept that underlies all program lines of “Bildung trifft Entwicklung“. It is understood as an educational response to the demands that we have to face due to the globalization of all life processes.

The starting point was the realization that development is not the sole responsibility of the so-called developing countries or the Global South. Rather, the way of life in the industrialized countries of the Global North must also change in order to be sustainable and fit for the future. The goal of global learning is to find common ways to keep our world worth living in. It provides answers to the question “What does this have to do with me?” and shows ways to actively work for a fairer world.

Didactic materials

Make the languages of the world visible and show the cultural and social diversity in our environment! By dealing with linguistic diversity, we want to use the world map “Let diversity speak!” to raise awareness of the benefits of different languages, strengthen the perspectives of the Global South and make power relations clear. The bilingual accompanying booklet in English and German provides suggestions for exercises.

“Bildung trifft Entwicklung“ develops and publishes educational materials for global learning, such as this multilingual world map. Current publications, methods and handouts can be ordered, downloaded or borrowed free of charge.
